Eco-Adventure Activties @ Royal Belum State Park, Malaysia.

Royal Belum State Park, Perak, Malaysia can be accessed through 4 hrs driving from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or 3 hrs driving from Penang Island. Visitors require permits to enter the State Park which can be applied 2 weeks prior to arrival. Being 130 million years old, Royal Belum is among the oldest rain forest in the world. It has biodiversity more than any other areas in Malaysia.

Some of the main attraction is Raflesia flowers (species: Azlanii, Cantleyii and Kerrii), Hornbills (10 species), cooling and refreshing waterfalls (Ruok, Kejar, Mes, Semelian, Ko’oi, Belangan, Tiang, Papan, Gen and etc), Salt Licks (estimated at 60 sites altogether), among the accessible site are Sira / Jenut Papan, Sira Rambai, Sira Selantan etc, wildlife (elephant, tiger, gaur, deer, barking deer, mouse deer, snakes, insects, butterflies, fishes, tapir, wild boar, monkeys, squirrels etc).

A common aboriginal or Orang Asli found within Royal Belum is the Jahai Tribe. Locations of their villages are up river in Tiang and Kejar River and remote locations inside the rain forest.

Season Open For Outdoor Lovers

This October 2009, the season open again for any outdoor enthusiasts and we welcome all to join us in our trips and activities. Northern Perak is offering tremendous sites and activities. Caves in Lenggong, Perak Man for those who loves archealogy, waterfalls and tropical rainforests, fishing, bird watching, camping, jungle trekking, team building and corporate training.

Belum Outdoor Adventure (BOA) offers 200pax island facility complete with kitchen, dining hall, training hall, 2pax chalet, family room, dormitories, surau, showers and viewing area.

BOA Trainers and Tour Guides has more than 20 years experience within the surrounding area. We can also cater for any family activities, team building or corporate training. It is our responsibility to make sure each individual understands the safety aspect since there will be boat transfers and rainforest. Insurance is also available from us.

Team building and corporate training can be designed to specific requirements. We always encourage self-confidence and teamwork in all our program.

For those whore more adventurous, campsites are also available to cater up to 50pax at one time. Boat ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes to Sungai Kejar Campsite, 20-30 minutes to Sungai Tiang and Sungai Papan campsite. All campsites are inside Royal Belum State Park which require permits and registration with the authority. Please allow 7 days prior to your arrival for permit application.

Visit to animal feeding area, Rafflesia flowers (if blooms), Orang Asli Settlement, chilling Waterfalls, colorful tropical rainforest insects and flowers, is a must to outdoor fanatics like us. It will a wonderful experience for guests and visitors to enjoy the moment.

For team bigger than 7 pax, please arrange with us 1 month prior to you visit to this area so we can arrange transportation, accommodation, meals, insurance, clearance and boat transfer.

For fishing lovers, please bring your rods. Photographers, make sure you have enough memory cards. Safety is our number one priority to all visitors and FUN is our main objective.

Water Confidence Activity

BOA Family Day / Team Building Activity is a 3 days 2 nights activity. Arriving on Friday morning at Banding Public Jetty terminal for safety briefing before taking the boat ride to Pulau Tali Kail which approximately 15 minutes away. Safety is our main concern, so please give your attention to our safety officer who will introduce your best friend during your stay in Pulau Tali Kail, YOUR LIFE JACKET. To be continued….

Eco-Lifestyle Family Day @ Temenggor Forest Reserve

Temenggor Forest Reserve to the south of Banding Island offers a stunning place for family days. Equipped with chalets, dining hall, surau, camping site, long house each for girls and boys, kitchen, electricity, clean water and the whole island for jungle treking, tower views, camping, water activities, swimming, rakit (bamboo raft), fishing, bird watching and a whole lot of fun.

Can accomodate 200 people at one time, the chalets, long house, surau, rest area, halls and dining hall are complete with fans and lights which make comfortable stays to all guests. Belum Outdoor Adventure provide cooks and guides so much time can be contrated on the events and activities.

Menu and activities can be pre-arranged when you book our Family Day package. Upon arrival on the first day and check-in, guest can go  jungle trekking to lookout tower which is located on the highest point of the island. The view is spectacular, guest can view most of the south side of Temenggor Forest Reserve. Among others is the fish farm project, the two bridge connecting Banding Island and enjoy fresh breeze overlooking the Banjaran Titiwangsa.

Guest can dip into cool and fresh Temenggor Lake and water sports such as jetski, boating or kayaking to nearby islands. Fishing is open all the time to guest during the family day trip. However, please inform one of our patron and bring along one of our Orang Asli guide. Safety is our number one priority during your stay. Lifejackets are mandatory for adults and children if you are planning for water activities all the time.

Second day of the family day are much into exploring the local areas like Rafflesia flower, animal feeding area (Sira Gajah and Sira Kuda), Paku Aji pre-historic plant and honeybee on the wall. Guide will also bring you to see the magnificent Temenggor Dam. Bring along your cameras sun-screen, hats and raincoat or raincover just in case. This is the RAINFOREST. Please be reminded that while visiting the wild, if we are lucky, we will see them at the feeding area. However, we dont promise that they will be there. Most people have seen and experienced it.

Rafflesia is a rare breed of flowers and only blooms for few days. It takes approximately 9 months for one flower to bloom. So if we are lucky we might see the full bloom Rafflesia.

Afternoon of the second day is open for water activities for all ages! While waiting for SEWANG (native dance), BBQ dinner will be served. Juicy and tender meat, chicken, fish (it could be your local catch) and local dishes are the menu.

3rd day is the water confidence activities. Kayaking and Rakit (Bamboo raft) are made available to all guest to try out. Our experience guides will provide the assistance. Now it the time to overcome your fear.
